LOS is proud to announce that on July 22, 2026, Dr. Matthew Williams and our outstanding surgical team performed the first ROSA® Robotic Robotic Total Shoulder Replacement in the State of Louisiana at LOS Surgery Center, marking an exciting milestone in the future of shoulder replacement surgery.
Developed by Zimmer Biomet, the ROSA® Shoulder System uses robotic technology to help surgeons plan and perform shoulder replacements with enhanced precision. Robotic orthopaedic procedures provide more accurate implant placement tailored to each patient’s unique anatomy, with the goal of improving outcomes and helping patients return to the activities they love.
This historic achievement represents months of preparation, collaboration, and a shared commitment to bringing the most advanced technology to our patients. From surgical planning to execution, the entire team’s dedication made this milestone possible.
