Lafayette, LA – Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists (“LOS”) continues to grow — bringing exceptional physicians and specialists to Acadiana! LOS is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. John “Daniel” Frugé, a fellowship-trained interventional pain medicine specialist, board certified in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. Dr. Frugé will begin seeing patients in our Lafayette clinics in October 2025.
Dr. Frugé specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic spine conditions through minimally invasive procedures. His expertise includes epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, kyphoplasty, and other advanced interventions. He also performs nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG) to evaluate nerve and muscle disorders with precision. His approach emphasizes advanced diagnostics and interventional treatments over long-term oral medications, with the ultimate goal of restoring function and improving patients’ quality of life.
Dr. Frugé earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University in New Orleans before completing medical school, residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans.
“Each patient’s experience with spine pain is unique,” Dr. Frugé shared. “I believe in listening carefully, understanding their journey, and tailoring treatment to help them get back to the life they want to live.”
A native of Sunset, Louisiana, Dr. Frugé is proud to serve the Acadiana community. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, playing guitar, and exploring the outdoors.
Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists is thrilled to welcome Dr. Frugé to our team and to the Acadiana medical community. His advanced expertise in interventional pain management will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across the region.
