Baton Rouge and Lafayette, LA – Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic (BROC) and Lafayette-based Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists, LLC (LOS), today announced their intentions to become the founding divisions of a new combined orthopedic group practice – Gulf South Orthopaedic Partners, creating the largest collection of independent orthopedic service providers in Louisiana. The partnership represents a significant milestone, combining the expertise and resources of two esteemed orthopedic practices to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes, accessibility, and to preserve and protect the independent practice of Orthopedic Surgery during these dynamic times of consolidation and change. The partnership is unique in that it allows each division to continue to operate in their respective markets under their existing brands of LOS and BROC, while at the same time coordinating their combined resources and expertise to benefit all patients across a broader region.
With shared principles regarding delivery of high-quality patient care, the new entity will elevate the standard of musculoskeletal health services in Louisiana. Gulf South Orthopaedic Partners will offer a comprehensive range of orthopedic services, including sports medicine, joint replacement, spine surgery, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery, orthopedic oncology, orthopedic trauma, pediatric orthopedics and rehabilitation. Gulf South Orthopaedic Partners will be built by a team of experienced orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and support staff dedicated to improving mobility, function, and overall quality of life for its patients. At inception, Gulf South Orthopaedic Partners will have fifty-four board certified physicians with forty-eight being fellowship trained orthopedic surgeons.
